OLD FASHIONED PORRIDGE

Healthy Recipes is amazed at how many people use instant porridge. Rolled oats is very easy to prepare, and there are so many variations that we can use to add to the porridge to make it different every day of the week. Let’s get to the porridge first. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup 1% milk Soft brown sugar, plain non-fat yogurt, or raisins and cinnamon (you definitely may use brown Splenda to replace the brown sugar) Cook the oats and milk for about 7 minutes, stirring constantly until oats are thick and creamy. Serve immediately with a dash of brown sugar, or Splenda, or fruit of your choice, or raisins and cinnamon. Oats are particularly a healthy recipe for the heart. Also, provides us fiber. I love porridge and add different fruits each day to mine. Yummy! Healthy Recipe serves 2 people.
